Never Sweat Bots 2009

The kids named our FLL team the "Never Sweat Bots". Teams usually assume a new name each year.

The theme this year is "Smart Move" and the students are to research ways to improve transportation in their community. The robot challenges focus on moving things on the mat, and overcoming obstacles.

For our research project, the students are researching ways to form a carpool system where people could carpool to Jackson, Riverton or Lander. It is estimated that on any given day, over 100 residents leave Dubois for these destinations. The number one reason is for shopping, followed by health care, recreation and miscellaneous errands.

Ideas are: forming an online calendaring system, using GPS for ride availabilty tracking and setting a reimbursement standard for reimbursing drivers.
